The Role: A new position has been created within the warranty department to help improve our service to dealers and customers. Initially the role will be primarily administrative and will involve; responding to global dealer claims through our on line warranty system, processing RTV (return to vendor), producing weekly/monthly data reports and assisting the department manager with day to day tasks.    

This will be an exciting, evolving role with new duties and responsibilities likely to be added as the department develops. It will involve working with all departments that make up the business with the common goal of reducing warranty and improving quality. 

The successful candidate will have an ‘eye for detail’, be passionate about customer service and quality, and will be able to directly input into the department and its progress.

Based at Caterham’s manufacturing facility in Dartford, Kent; the successful candidate may be required to travel in the UK to meet suppliers and build relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Front line response to incoming warranty claims from dealers
  • Approval/rejection of warranty claims
  • Identify potential problems before they escalate and report accordingly
  • Produce reports from captured data
  • Processing of RTV parts, including supplier discussion.
  • Receiving warranty returns
  • Work with all departments towards the company’s common goal of improved quality    
  • Build supplier relationships

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Dealership (including non-automotive) or manufacturer warranty processing experience would be an advantage
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry beneficial
  • Previous experience in a quality role beneficial
  • An understanding of automotive processes and components would be advantageous.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook 
  • A keenness to learn and directly input into the department and business
  • Good communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Able to prioritise a busy workload efficiently
  • Able to work independently without supervision
  • A determination to ensure that task are carried out correctly and a dedication, or persistence, to get things done
