As Caterham continues to grow, the dealer body is growing and developing with us. We have an increasing network of professional dealers focussed on providing a level of service that customers expect and that we want to deliver. Meanwhile, our cars have become more complex making fault resolution increasingly difficult.
Therefore, a new role is being created within Caterham: a Dealer Support Engineer (‘DSE’). This will be a multi-faceted role to provide technical assistance and training to dealers, both remotely and on-site at their location. Where necessary, the DSE will be required to actively resolve vehicle issues either on-site or at Dartford.
Collating information on faults and common issues will enable the DSE to target areas (recorded as DCRs) for immediate improvement/resolution and tackle these directly through the design and validation of new or modified parts as required.
Additionally, our Aftersales operation, through the dealers and Dartford parts team, are always looking for opportunities to provide customers with further options and upgrades. Therefore, any spare capacity for the DSE will be directed to the development of the aftersales wish-list.
