A full-time position has become available for an Engineering Technician to join the enthusiastic and dynamic engineering team at Caterham Cars. The successful applicant will support the engineering team directly and other areas of the business indirectly through the engineering department such as manufacturing and procurement.
The main responsibilities of the role will involve maintaining test cars, helping to build new development cars and first off models. You will be required to; develop prototypes for new parts from drawings, upgrade car specifications when necessary, diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, provide development car test day support and find solutions to problems. You will be responsible for keeping your own work area in order within the workshop.
As part of this role out of hours, travel may be required both inside and outside the UK.
Applicants who are successful in making it to interview stage maybe asked to carry out a practical test to back up the interview stage either on the same day or on a separate occasion.
